Kuala Lumpur, Aug 23 (ANI): Following reports of school teachers targeting students of Indian origin in Malaysia and subjecting them to physical and verbal abuse, the countrys police have found themselves powerless in taking action against such teachers, saying the maximum they could do was to report such instances to the Education Department.
District criminal investigations department chief Deputy Superintendent Roslan Ibrahim said no action could be taken against a teacher accused of verbal abuse. When such cases (verbal abuse) are reported, we can only forward it to the Education Department for further action, he said.
On racial slurs, Roslan said it could be categorised as mental abuse. However it would be difficult to charge a teacher suspected of racially abusing a student unless there is strong supporting evidence and witnesses who are willing to testify in court, the New Straits Times quoted him as saying.
It had been reported that five police reports had been lodged against teachers in a school in Taman Klang Jaya for alleged racial abuse. The first report was lodged on Nov 1 last year while the latest was lodged on Aug 8. Two reports were lodged on Feb 29 and the other report was on March 21.
The incidents were first reported in March this year, but no action had been taken either by the police or the Education Department.
The Coalition of Malaysian Indian Non-governmental Organisations Secretary G. Gunaraj said he had met with parents of six students last Sunday in Klang Jaya regarding the issue. Despite the reports, the teachers who allegedly abused the Indian students verbally and physically continue to teach and no apparent action has been taken against them, he said, adding that a petition had been signed by 63 Indian parents voicing their dissatisfaction and frustration over the handling of the issue. KULA LUMPUR: About 500 angry ethic-Indians on Monday staged a protest outside a school demanding action against a teacher who allegedly hurled racial slurs against students from the community in western Malaysia’s Selangaon state.
According to the police report, a woman history teacher had allegedly called Indian students in a Class four and five ‘Negro’, ‘black monkeys’ and other derogatory names.
The crowd began gathering outside the Banting school’s main entrance near here at noon and staged a protest for two hours.
The teacher had also allegedly said that the community members were stupid and prone to thievery, the Star daily reported on its website.
The alleged incidents took place on July 17 and 22 when the teacher had allegedly beaten up some Indians students.
A students also alleged in his report that the teacher had written the word ‘keling pariah’ on the board and lost her cool when the Indian students told her that they did not like being called names, it said.
Coalition of Malaysian Indian NGOs secretary Gunaraj George, who was among the protesters, said such abuse would only breed hatred and racial polarisation in schools.
“No one in his or her right frame of mind would have said these things. Given this, the best option would be for the teacher to be assigned to a desk job and not be allowed to be near youngsters anymore,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Education Minister Wee Ka Siong said the schoolteacher might be sacked if the allegations proved true. “The allegations were serious as no one was allowed to insult others, especially in a school environment,” said Wee, who was asked to comment.
The ministry was awaiting an official report before taking any action, he added.

” Racial Polarization Letter at University “
The racial card in Malaysia is never ending! Take a look below! - Malaysia Boleh
This is a letter from University Malaya’s head of Graduates to all the students (maybe certain race only). The first paragraph is okay.. Nothing much.. Wait till we get to the 2nd paragraph of this horrendous letter!

Here it is below! For those not bothered in stressing your brains too much in understanding the written malay
I’ll do the translation: Read Below
Therefore, I as the Head of Graduates of University of Malaya would like to advice all our fellow graduates of University of Malaya to combine forces and prepare ourselves together with all the necessary knowledge and preparation before we continue our fight in the actual battle field. This advice implies mainly to our Malay Graduates. We must treasure the sacrifices made by our ancestors which tried so hard to ensure that Tanah Melayu ( Malay Land ) is free from the intrusion of alien races. We must not fall into the category of those who forgets their roots until they will be taken over by other races. Graduates must prove themselves that we are capable and the best choice to take over the throne of governing the country in the future. This implies with the theme of MPMUM Progressive, Dynamic, Professional. There is nothing more important that can compared to our always-sensitive and improving Graduates. I also would like to advice all Malay Graduates to prepare ourselves in facing all sorts of unpredicted challenges that may occur in near future, relating to the rise of our fellow citizens, in particular to the non-Malay races. Don’t let ourselves slack and allow our “enemies under the blankets to attack us” (direct translation from the Malay idiom). Don’t allow our Malaysia to fall into the hands of those who are irrelevant.

After reading this, I became truly speechless! So stunned, so shocked! Why do I feel a one sided love for my country?
Malaysia …. I love you so.. but what have you become……..
The Liberals and Multi-racialists got to put a stop to it.

Malaysian Indians urged to pursue education, enterprise
Malaysia Sun
Thursday 24th January, 2008
(IANS)
Indians should stay united and work to improve their lot through education to ‘get on par’ with other races in Malaysia, a senior leader of the community has said. [ Thats what they are doing now after nov 25th ]
Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) leader and the country’s Works Minister S. Samy Vellu said Wednesday that education alone would help the community to be on its path to socio-economic development and parity with other communities.
‘We should be on par with other races and have thousands of graduates among us,’ he told the media during Thaipusam celebrations, a festival of Tamil Hindus, at Batu Caves. [ so,it was not until today - agreed ]
‘Don’t believe the opposition’s stories and accusations. Yes, there are areas in which we are lagging such as in the job market, in getting placement at universities and in getting government contracts,’ Vellu was quoted as saying by The New Straits Times. [ then which field is left, you stupid samy ]
‘But it is not as if we are not getting opportunities at all,’ said Vellu, citing examples of five Class-A Indian contractors who had successfully linked up with the Bumiputera (indigenous Malays) contractors to obtain government projects.[ its his cronies who got the project]
‘You can’t just sit at home and expect contracts to drop on your lap. You must be active and seek out opportunities,’ he said. [says other indian business man are lazy and not working for it]
Vellu said there were 3,000 Malaysian students of Indian origin overseas, 1,500 of whom were being supported by the MIC.[big lie, no proof]
Vellu brushed off a question on whether the recent declaration of Thaipusam as a public holiday in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya was a political ploy in view of the upcoming elections. ‘You think the Indian community is that foolish? Just because the holiday has been given, they will make a favourable decision? The Indian community is very smart now. They are not like before,‘ he said. [ This his major disappointment ]
The MIC that Vellu has been leading for long has been part of the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition.
