What happen to our Uni? Racial Polarization ?

” Racial Polarization Letter at University “

The racial card in Malaysia is never ending! Take a look below! - Malaysia Boleh

This is a letter from University Malaya’s head of Graduates to all the students (maybe certain race only). The first paragraph is okay.. Nothing much.. Wait till we get to the 2nd paragraph of this horrendous letter!

Here it is below! For those not bothered in stressing your brains too much in understanding the written malay

I’ll do the translation: Read Below

Therefore, I as the Head of Graduates of University of Malaya would like to advice all our fellow graduates of University of Malaya to combine forces and prepare ourselves together with all the necessary knowledge and preparation before we continue our fight in the actual battle field. This advice implies mainly to our Malay Graduates. We must treasure the sacrifices made by our ancestors which tried so hard to ensure that Tanah Melayu ( Malay Land ) is free from the intrusion of alien races. We must not fall into the category of those who forgets their roots until they will be taken over by other races. Graduates must prove themselves that we are capable and the best choice to take over the throne of governing the country in the future. This implies with the theme of MPMUM Progressive, Dynamic, Professional. There is nothing more important that can compared to our always-sensitive and improving Graduates. I also would like to advice all Malay Graduates to prepare ourselves in facing all sorts of unpredicted challenges that may occur in near future, relating to the rise of our fellow citizens, in particular to the non-Malay races. Don’t let ourselves slack and allow our “enemies under the blankets to attack us” (direct translation from the Malay idiom). Don’t allow our Malaysia to fall into the hands of those who are irrelevant.

After reading this, I became truly speechless! So stunned, so shocked! Why do I feel a one sided love for my country?

Malaysia …. I love you so.. but what have you become……..

The Liberals and Multi-racialists got to put a stop to it.

This is happening everywhere. In Mumbai, there is a movement against people from UP and Bihar, and it is amusing to note that the language used by the people here is very similar to the text used in the letter you have mentioned in your post.

The non-malay students should have the guts to complain to the university officials and the local MP. The reason why the letter has such a strong racial slant is they think they can get away with it and no one will question them on their utter disrespect of the other races.

Please do not stir further. Let tiger continue to sleep. Please. Unity Malaysian way… to continue. Say what u want, but please allow the tiger ( Malays ) to continue to sleep….

I believe the Tigers will continue sleeping as long as there are emaculated and keep fed by the UMNO. Lets level the playing field. Very soon with globalization there will no tigers mere domestic cats. How are you gonna stand against the world, are you goinh to threatened them as well. Grow up tiger! 50 years is along time and if no growth is achieved please continue sleeping till eternity.

It truly is happening everywhere…divisive rhetorics whereever you look. I’m in Europe and it’s not as bluntly put, but basically not much different. The difference is that we don’t get into trouble for pointing at these things, while in other parts of the world you do. Wish us all that we don’t become communitarians. May I recommend an article by Farish Noor, commenting on the divisive politics? http://malaysiavotes.com/wp/2008/02/22/the-threat-to-secular-democracy/

It is sad there are such people around…

Anyway, I am Chinese and am launching a project that helps the rural Malays more than urban Chinese and am happy doing it through ICT by closing the digital divide.

Malaysia should be united and grow together rather than falling in racism.

Really sad such kind of people are “leaders”.

I really pity these students, as they do not know what are they saying and getting involved into by saying all this rubbish. Fist of all, they represent the group of students who are not interested or maybe could not cope up with the new world order unfolding in this globalised world. What kind of knowledge they will gather to fight against the non-malays in Malaysia? No one is threatening Malay positions, save there are advocates for free democracy and clean government which will certainly help to improve the country economically and socially. Second, who in the world would champion a racist policy if not to elevate a certain race and downgrade another? This is unsound and outright naive as we are now in a globalized world, no more in the Jahiliah, Khalifah or Otoomon or in whatever kingdom. We live in the world where everyone depends on everyone. Their letter, and the person who approves this letter, shows the waste of money to send these monkeys to study in University and further tarnish the name and true function of our Universities. Third, lets assume that non-Malays are chased out from Malaysia one day, and there is no non-Malays now, there will be non-Malays come in to invest, work, and so on, which will subsequently reside in Malaysia and ask for PR and political rights. So are they going to chase them out again? I suggest they go and live in a cave or stay in their mama’s womb until they are enlightened by truth that they are living in a globalized world.

Send these students (naive and stupid) to 10,000 BC and let them live like a cave man forever, so they do not have to study. Is not this the excuse for not studying and harping on the non relevant issues all the time?

    Greetings from Melbourne.

Wow, what a letter. In Melbourne, especially engineering/ docs/ and all, other than commerce graduates, 85% of these Malaysian students don’t ever go home. Most professionals here are now Malaysians holding Aussie PR. They vowed never to allow their children to be Malaysians. This saddened me greatly.

However, after this letter, I guess this letter justify our feelings…..kesian.

Malaysians especially the non Malays never fight for their rights….except perhaps during Chin Peng’s time….which explains their sad current plight……you just cannot go on cribbing and complaining man……..you need to stand up, rablerouse and fight back…even if you are 1 % of the population…..that is what makes a person a decent human being…..but since you cannot do that…….just lie down and get screwed………there really are only these two choices…..

Wow…sound a little like Mein Kampf. The funny thing is, people do not learn from tried and tested theories from history.Racist policies will eventually destroy you “Little Asian Adolf”,that is the quality of our education in Malaysia, they don’t teach you enough about the world;well they don’t want to.In another 20 years,I will be witnessing history repeating itself,I hope not.

Afandy B. Sutrisno Tanjung… sounds very Indonesian don’t you think? So the Indons will finally over take this country. So sad.

Afandy B. Sutrisno Tanjung? Are you sure he is a Malay? “Sutrisno” is not a Malay word and same with “Toyo”. Go down UM and long live UKM!!! Hahahhaa…

it really show the immaturity of the students and the kind of education system we have today. Instead of moving forward they are collective going back to stone age. It is no point talking about racial unity when we allow such blatant disregard and disrespect to fellow Malaysians. Guess what will happen if he becomes our leaders , etnic cleansing ?

  17. CH Tan said

How about beating the non-Malays in open exams first. Then talk.

  18. Anak Sarawak said

i think they should work hard first before talk too much, thats typical for those who only like to demand so much and nvr try to put much effort.

Malaysia is in their hands, the peoples who really destroy malaysia is them and not other races.

the peoples who really sold out malaysia is them and not the so called alien race.

we sarawak also dun like much those bullshit.

the letter’s forged, guys. the poor guy never wrote it.

  21. SeekTheTruth said

    Hi all,

Don’t be so shallow minded to believe a paper statement. Do some search and investigation, and realize that this was a sabotage against this guy. Those of you who fell into the trap of believing this is what the perpetrator wanted. The supposedly author even lodged a police report about this, saying that he did not write this and someone is trying to sabotage him.

Think about it, anyone can produce a ‘letter’ like this in today’s ICT world of technology.

  22. With this “b. Sustrino” in the author’s name, doesn’t that mean his dad is an Indonesian? So he’s also a “warga asing”.

    Wah lau.

(and I did read the Malay version to check if my bahasa Melayu?/Malaysia? skills are still operational 8 years post-SPM.)

    Hi,

The latest news is that the letter is a fabrication. The said person has made a sworn statement that the letter was not written by him. So let’s not overreact folks.

UM has also responded that the letter is a fabrication.

  24. Ravi Kumar said

Poor SOB. Has not gone out to work yet because he is still being fed by all the subsidies he can get from the government. By the way, looking at his name he is definitely some migrant Indonesian who wants to be a champion. Remind me to never hire him when he comes looking for a job.

Even if the letter is truly fabricated, what does it matter? What matters is that the oldest university in Malaysia is rapidly going downhill. Soon, it will not even rank among the top 1000 universities in the world! Keep up the good work, people! You deserve this if you persist with the quota system where admission is based purely on RACE and not merits.

wait till you see the written hate of the chinese and indians towards malays in other websites. i think malays have the right to defend their land, malaysia.

    end of discussion.

I would like to see a copy of the police report made by Afandy to say that he had not circulated the hate-mail. Perhaps, it would be good to see some police action regarding such an offensive letter. and if Afandy is serious in wanting to refute the scandalous accusation, he can also write a brief statement to state his stand. More than a year has gone by but I don’t think people still remember this whole stupid episode and a few years down the road, we may find him occupying an important position in the government. Who knows if this afandy chap will not become a member of the ruling elite, making critical decisions for the country.
